<RE-EDITION> Yanagi Dyeing and Weaving Studio × TERAS
RE-EDITION is a collaborative upcycling initiative.
Yanagi Dyeing and Weaving Studio was established by dyeing and weaving artist Yoshihiro Yanagi, the nephew of Muneyoshi Yanagi, known as the "father of the Mingei movement." For three generations, they have been particular about the raw materials, starting from the cocoons, and have carried out as many processes as possible, such as twisting and dyeing, by hand.
This time, we reused the scraps of Yanagi's beautiful and neat works. Please enjoy the products that allow you to experience the charm of handicrafts, the "beauty of utility" that is common to Mingei and Sashiko.
Yanagi Dyeing and Weaving Studio is a dyeing and weaving studio established by dyeing and weaving artist Yoshihiro Yanagi (1917-95). Based in Setagaya, Tokyo, the studio is currently producing works mainly under the direction of Takashi Yanagi, the second generation, and Shinya Yanagi, the third generation.

This piece is a wallet made from scraps of Yanagi's neat and beautiful work and scraps of the indigo-dyed vintage cloth "BORO", which have been sashiko-edged, creating a random patchwork that complements each piece.
The inside is divided into three layers for ease of use, and the compact size makes it easy to carry around in your hip pocket . The longer you use it, the more it will change and take on a more personal shape.
